Terms of Service

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Review Store. Your use of the Service is also subject to Shopify's terms, policies, and app store requirements, including Shopify's Partner Program Agreement and API Terms of Use where applicable.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Review Store provides merchants with tools to:

• Send automated or manual product review requests after qualifying orders
• Collect ratings, written reviews, and optional photo or video media from customers
• Moderate, publish, reject, archive, and reply to reviews
• Import reviews from supported CSV formats, including Loox-style exports
• Display published reviews on Shopify storefronts through a theme app extension and app proxy API
• Configure branding, Shopify Flow email actions, reminders, incentives, and widget presentation

We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. Some features depend on third-party services such as Shopify, email delivery providers, media storage, and background job infrastructure.

The Service is intended for merchants and authorized staff operating Shopify stores. You must have a valid Shopify account and permission to install apps on the store you connect to Review Store.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account, controlling staff access, and ensuring that anyone using the Service on your behalf complies with these Terms.

As a Merchant using Review Store, you agree that you are solely responsible for:

• Providing appropriate privacy notices and obtaining any legally required consents before collecting, displaying, or emailing customers for reviews
• Ensuring review requests, incentives, discount codes, and published content comply with applicable laws, advertising rules, and Shopify policies
• The accuracy, moderation, and publication of reviews, including decisions to display customer names, photos, videos, or verified purchase badges
• Configuring automations, email content, legal disclosures shown on review forms, and data retention practices appropriate for your business and jurisdiction
• Responding to customer inquiries and data subject requests related to your store's use of reviews
• Ensuring imported review data is lawfully obtained and that you have the right to use and display it

Review Store acts as a service provider processing data on your instructions in connection with your Shopify store. You remain the controller of customer and review data for your store.

You agree not to use Review Store to:

• Violate any law, regulation, or third-party right
• Upload malware, abusive content, unlawful material, or infringing media
• Post fake, misleading, incentivized-without-disclosure, or otherwise deceptive reviews
• Harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against individuals
• Harvest or misuse personal information without proper authority or notice
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, Shopify systems, or related infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to access the Service except as expressly permitted
• Circumvent billing, access controls, upload limits, or security measures

We may investigate suspected violations and suspend or terminate access where necessary to protect the Service, users, or third parties.

Customers may access tokenized review pages to submit feedback without creating a Review Store account. Published reviews may be displayed on your storefront through widgets that retrieve data from Review Store APIs.

You are responsible for what you choose to publish and for making clear to customers how their submissions may be used or displayed.

Some features may require a paid subscription. When billing is enabled, charges are processed through Shopify's billing system on a recurring subscription basis unless otherwise stated in the app listing or order form.

Fees, plan names, trial terms, and taxes are presented during installation or upgrade. You authorize Shopify to charge your store payment method according to the selected plan. Subscription changes, cancellations, and refunds are handled in accordance with Shopify's billing policies and any terms shown at purchase.

The Service integrates with third-party providers to operate effectively, including Shopify, email delivery services, media storage, and background processing platforms. Your use of those integrations may be subject to separate third-party terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for outages, policy changes, or acts or omissions of third-party providers outside our reasonable control.

Review Store and its software, branding, documentation, and underlying technology are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Service.

You retain ownership of your store content, reviews, media, and materials you submit through the Service. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, display, and otherwise use that content only as necessary to provide and improve the Service for your store.

If you provide feedback or suggestions about the Service, we may use them without restriction or compensation.

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the Privacy Policy.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components, or that reviews, email delivery, media uploads, imports, widgets, or automations will meet your business requirements.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REVIEW STORE AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Review Store and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your store content, your reviews program, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app from Shopify. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, fail to pay applicable fees, or if we discontinue the Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions relating to fees owed, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law.

Shopify privacy and data deletion workflows may apply after uninstall, as described in our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts, except where applicable law requires a different forum.

• Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Review Store regarding the Service.
• Severability: If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• No waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of future enforcement.
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
• Force majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
